For example:

In the month of December, a 2nd-year Baccalaureate student aims to obtain a final average grade of 8.00 in the Mathematics course.

Date:

10/12/2019

Subject:

Mathematics

Final grade goal:

8,00

My attitude towards the subject:

I do not need it for my future studies, but I need to get good grades to access the University Degree I want. I find it difficult and I have trouble understanding some things. I don’t like it, although the teacher explains well. I am aware that if I don’t keep it up to date, I won’t be able to approve it.

Taking advantage of classes:

Maximum attention so I don’t get lost later at home when I do the exercises. Take good notes so I don’t have to clean them up. Review the exercises that are corrected and redo those that are wrong. Advance in class all I can to have less work at home. Always ask when I don’t understand something.

Weekly dedication time:

3 sessions of:

  • 40 minutes on Tuesdays from 17:00 to 17:40 (exercises and doubts)
  • 40 minutes on Thursdays from 20:20 to 21:00 (exercises and doubts)
  • 1 hour on Sunday afternoon (weekly review/study)
Actions to be taken:
  • Remember every day that I want to study Nursing and therefore I have to get good grades.
  • Do all the exercises proposed by the teacher.
  • Make formula sheet “cheat sheet” to memorize easier.
  • Review everything given in theory this week and in the previous ones on Sunday time.
Exam preparation:

Prepare three days in advance by dedicating at least two hours each day.

Next exam objective:

8,oo

Depending on the results:

7.5 or more: congratulate me, feel great, tell everyone, go out to celebrate until late…, and continue with the same strategy.

5,0 – 7,5: continue as before but with more intensity and concentration, talk to the teacher to see where the mistakes are and if necessary increase the time of dedication.

Less than 5: seek help from a classmate or private teacher, leave the gym on Mondays and spend another hour studying at 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., leave your cell phone in another room while studying and turn it off at 23:00 to sleep 8 hours.

Do you want to get more out of your effort?

Take the test, assess, decide and take action:

  • You and your conditions.
  • Your motivation and your goals.
  • Your strategies to face the study.
  • Your self-assessment and your way of facing the results.
