DO YOU CONTROL IT? IS YOUR CANNABIS USE PROBLEMATIC?

Everyone knows the difference between having a few beers with friends or having an alcohol problem. This is not the case with cannabis.

If you want to know if you really “control it”, take the Test, it will tell you if your consumption is problematic or not.

HOW AM I GOING TO DO IT?

Some ideas you can do today:

  • Do activities that make consumption impossible: gym, running, swimming, etc.
  • Prepare your answer for when you are offered to consume and you want to say NO, and determine automatic actions for when you feel like consuming a lot: go for a run or call a friend.
  • Decide not to consume anything if you are going to drive a car or motorbike.
  • Become strong in your decision “because I decide”, and ask your family, partner, friends for help.

CONSUMPTION CONTROL

This system is a very simple visual tool, but it requires constancy to be useful. Steps:

  1. Mark your consumption targets in the table for each time zone. Be realistic and set achievable goals.
  2. Throughout the day put a mark each time you actually consume.
  3. Use a marker to mark the degree of achievement of your objectives. This will help you interpret what is happening.

  • Allow you to start with easy, simple and affordable things, and increase the difficulty little by little,
  • Are related to the frequency of consumption, social and family relations, cognitive and emotional processes and psychological health.

  • Choose 5 concrete actions to develop this week and each day write down if you have managed to overcome them.
  • Each day of the week, write a sentence that shows how you feel during the day: “I’m doing it!” or “I feel terrible, but I’m determined.

The PCU Test gives you an assessment of your cannabis use, indicating whether it is problematic or not.

It assesses aspects related to: your type of consumption, your family history, the consequences that consumption has on your life and your mental health, your position regarding your consumption…

If your results indicate that your consumption is problematic, we propose you an action plan that can help you so that your consumption is not problematic.
